Phsyical abuse from a loved one and my coping with it as a teenager
THE WALL

One day it will arrive
and for that day I'll strive

when your words no longer sting
I'll learn again to sing

when from your hand, I know longer cower
It's then that you will not have the power

when your voice I know longer hear
it's then I will be free from the fear

until then I will wait
wasted love turned to hate

and many tears will fall

as I painfully build
