this is for the soldiers who work so hard to keep me and you safe and sound.
The blood that was spilled,
The sweat and tears shed.
The thousands killed, tortured, and lost,
We recognize today for paying the cost.

It's our mothers weeping,
Their babies lost in battle.
It's our children crying,
Missing their daddys, wondering if heir alive or dying.

It's our flag flying high,
It's red, white and blue swaying proudly.
Representing justice, blood, and purity,
It's because of you that we are still free.

Thank you.
