A letter I wrote to myself for the Dear Me contest.
Dear
Me,

I think we should have some goals for this 'new year.' I have taken it upon ourself to write a few things I think we should do.

*They will be presented as such:

1.I want our own closet space. It is nice to have roommates for the company but, we should at least have our own closet space. To do this I say we just ask them if it would be alright for us to remove their stuff from our closet we want and into the one they already have. This sounds like a reasonable demand.(Don't you think?)

2.I believe it is time we stopped smoking. This is not a hard thing to do. All we are going to have to do is just say no to ourselves when we want a cigarette. I'm sure we can carry out this before the end of the month.(Think about it.)

3.The time has come to tell the girl of our dreams we love her and want to marry her. I'm sure she knows we love her but I am not sure she is aware of the pending question on our mind. If you need any help with this I am here for you. It is a simple question,"Will you marry me?" As soon as you say it I will be satisfied.

4.I would like to take a break from you. I know it may sound absurd but hear me out. We have been together for our whole life and it would be nice to have some alone time. I don't need a huge vacation I just want some me time. It is hard to deal with all the things that go through our head twenty-four seven. I want to relax for a while and take a break. I'm also sure you could use one from me.

That is all. Consider it our 'new years' resolution. I am positive these four goals are achievable with just the minimalist of effort. Between the two of us I am certain it will be easy. If you can only do one, for my sake, choose the fourth.

Forever in you head,
You.
