This is a poem about how letting go of a child as they grow up is hard.
As we walked through the park his little hand pulled;
Wanting to explore the things he's never seen or heard;
As he ran off to play, I felt his little hand slip away;
Soon I'll call him back to be safe in my regard,
Because you know letting go is very hard.
