Beauty only lasts a moment.
Nature's shallow breath
Exhaled upon red petals
That were lit by the silver
Orb of heaven.
The moons' relaxing rays
Enticed the wandering fireflies
That hovered above the spring.
There, beside the water, grew a garden.
Secret leaves withheld their beauty
From all, including
The slumbering butterflies.
Only tonight do flowers blossom,
For tomorrow, they are gone.
