{Wake up, Momma, Momma, please wake up.”
(I am up child, but it’s so dark, so very dark)
“Momma, won’t you wake up please, Momma?”
(I am dressed child, now go, let me sleep)
“Momma, Momma, are you not well?”
(The tunnel, so dark, so long)
“You must get up Momma, get dressed.”
(There is no door, no escape. I’m up child.)
“You are scaring me, Momma, please, please.”
(What is the trouble child? I am up and dressed)
“Why don’t you answer me, Momma, why?”
(No end to the tunnel, where are you child?)
“Speak to me, Momma, speak to me…”
(Why is it you don’t hear me? The tunnel)
“I am lonely here, Momma. Wake up for me.”
(The darkness is deep child, so very deep)
