This poem was written shortly after the loss of a dear friend in a tragic accident.
Leaning on my crutch of pain,
In a world that's made of loss.
To let go of my mortal fears
Is a line I cannot cross.

The tears and screams of letting go
And releasing days gone by,
All come down to rising up
To the level angels fly.

Why can't the days be brought back to
A time so long ago?
When all our hopes and all our dreams
Were the seeds we'd yet to sow.

But now I see the sweet release.
Like a tear on Heaven's face.
I let the pain and fear subside.
And grasp eternal grace.
