a short poem to someone who will never read it
I write when I cry,
At first I seemed to not understand why.
I now realize I was not being fair,
But losing you is more than I can bear

Another day has come and passed without you by my side,
I would not be in this situation had I never lied.
Now this hell is what I must endure,
Instead of the happiness that I wanted to procure.

My life is in shambles,
As everyone is forced to listen to my rambles.
I hoped that together we’d grow old,
And this would just be one of the stories told.

While goals and dreams come to an end,
I find it’s my actions that I cannot defend.
You are feeling the hurt of broken trust,
And you dig in your heels doing what you must.

As tears roll down my cheek I find it to be true
These tears are not as much for me as they are for you
