Not really sure. It's something though.
As much as everyone would like to say I became like this because I fell in love it is just not true. It I did not fall for anyone. This is the real story of what happened.

These days the world is broken up into the people who have wealth, the people who have power, and the people who are normal. I am a normal person, and being as normal as I am I have been picked to work at the castle. Not only did I walk from my home in the village, but also then, I was stuck with the worst job of all.

I was shown to a room in the far East wing. Opening the door, I had the shock of my life.

“Hey”

“Hi”

“You must be the new girl.”

“Yeah, ummm where are you?”

“Right here.” This grey kitty walks up to me.

“The cat? You want me to believe you are a cat.”

“Don’t laugh at me, it’s true.” With that, I sort of feinted.

The next thing I know I am being shaken around. When my eyes snap open, I find myself looking into these big blue eyes. They sort of drew me in, and would have been romantic if he had not opened his mouth.

“Couldn’t they find someone with more energy? I am so sick of these weaklings working for me.”

“Okay.” I pushed him back.

“What’s your name anyways?”  He poked me in the arm.

“Krista, and you are?”

“You don’t know who I am?”

“Not at all.” I pushed his hand away from me.

“Prince Aaron, I can’t believe you don’t know who I am.”

“You must not be something wonderful.” So then, he was just staring at me. “Stop looking at me, or I will hurt you.” That only made him smile. “What do I do here anyways?” Oh did that make the smile worse.

Turns out, I have to clean up after him, and I really should have stayed home. That boy was super messy, and then on top of that I had to do random errands, or anything he asked pretty much. Oh, and the worst part was the cat, it never stopped talking!

After a week of this nonsense I was making Aaron’s bed when Tammy, that is the cat, decided she wanted to explain how she came to be a talking cat.

“I use to work for Aaron. During that time I started to grow fond of him, and it turns out he liked me. Eventually I found myself falling in love with him. The more we were together I found it harder to leave. He is so intoxicating, I couldn’t stop myself. How was I supposed to know that I would be cursed? What ever you do stay away from the lady who always wears green. Don’t worry you can’t miss her. You see she saw my love for him, and slowly she started to turn him against me. We constantly fought, he would have me sent down into the prison. Then eventually she cursed me, because I kissed him. It was such a dazzling kiss, so hard, and passionate. After that kiss, she stood before me, holding a mirror to me. I was this fuzz ball.”

“That is horrible.” Of course, I barely heard what Tammy said, although it doesn’t help that Aaron burst into the room right after she finished her story.

The door literally slammed open. “You!”

I just looked at him.

“You, I need you to do me a favor.”

More looking.

“I need you to take this back to Lady Carn for me.” He held up a big green ring.

“Okay.” Anything to get out of this place.

To put it simply, I found Lady Carn in the town. The building was not only creepy with roses growing up around it in the fall. What did I do? I knocked on the door, and found myself looking at the prettiest lady I have ever seen. She wore this long green gown, even her blond hair had this greenish hue to it.

“Uh”

“What can I do for you?”

“I was asked to bring this to you?” I held out the ring.

She opened the door wide. “Come in.”

Everything in the place was either freakishly lacking in furniture, or freakishly green. I mean everything was green. Freakishly green.

“I like green.”

“Whhaaa?”

She pulled grabbed my hand that I was holding the ring in. “Green, it’s better for balance, and keeps people clam. It’s my color. Would you like to know what I do for a living?”

“I guess so.” She pointed to a corner that had two seats on apposing sides. She sat in one.

“Go ahead sit down.” So I did. “So you Aarons new maid.”

“That’s right.”

She pointed to a case that sat on the table. Then I watches as she pulled cards out of them, she shuffled them, and spread them out across the table. “Pick as many as you want.”

I looked at the cards, the backs were green with small squares, slowly my hand went across the table and I pulled out a card, then another, and another, till there was a total of six cards in front of me.

“Why six?”

“Huh, oh, I don’t like odd numbers.”
“Flip them over one at a time.”

So I turned one of the middle ones over. It was a cat sitting on a frilly bed, but the big green eyes stood out. It looked as if it was staring at my soul. The one next to it was two women that seemed to merging into each other. The card on the far right was a boy on a throne like chair, he had a wicked little grin. Next to, it was a down heart wrapped in chains. The one on the far left was an upside down crown with a sword hilt down run through it. The on next to that was  the boy on the throne this time with a cat in his lap, this time, he wasn’t smiling.

She smiled sadly, “The mischievous prince, the stolen heart, the soulless cat, the changing women, the won crown, and the lost prince.”

“What do they mean?”

“What do you think they mean?”

“This one,” I touched the first one, “it’s Aaron. He is always misbehaving. I guess this cat is Tammy. I don’t know what the others are.”

“The Mischievous Prince, does represent Aaron. Believe it or not he was once quite charming. The Stolen Heart, is also a representation of Aaron.”

“What?”

“You see these three?” She pointed at the first three. “They show a story. Aaron wasn’t awlays rash and quick to action. Once he had gotten a maid, to do un lordly like chores his life changed. You see she began to be come obsessed with him; she came to barter with me and begged. I gave her this ring.” She held up ring from earlier. “Told her that as long as she wore it , his heart would belong to her. Without his heart he became something different, and she grew to despise him. Soon after she found a guard to admire, and Aaron found them in his bed. Only the worse thing was she was wearing the ring, and the ring couldn’t handle his pain. That night the sky was moonless and Tammy turned into a cat. Her soul was bound in the ring. The only way she can become human is if someone wearing the ring kisses her prince. The prince mean while is searching for someone to wear this ring, and he things I can find her.” She pushed the ring towards me. “I think you should keep this for now.” Then she stood up.

“Wait what about the other cards?”

“Oh you will find out.” Then she ushered me out the door.

I wondered around the town, till I mistakenly went down an ally.

“Hey, you, I have been looking for you every where.” Aaron was sitting on the crate, on his lap was Tammy purring away.

“Even down scary ally ways?”

“I thought I told you to give that ring to Lady Carn.”He jerked into a standing position. I had been messing with the ring when I had turned down the ally.

“She gave it back.”

“Give it here.” He held out his hand.

He grabbed my wrist when I placed it in his out stretched hand. He pushed the ring down onto my ring finger; it felt heavy, not quite right. Then he kissed me hard, it was strong, sort of intoxicating. Then the next thing I know my body started aching all over, and I started shrinking. Mean while the cat starts growing. Not just like into a big kitty, but a women, and of course if she was becoming human that had to mean I was becoming a cat.
