When true love, slips from your hands.
You took me in your arms that night, keeping me warm from the cold.
You told me I was the only one you ever wanted to hold.
Thinking back today, I wish I could relive that night, It was the last night I had with you before I got that call, that sent me running down the dark hospital hall.
Seeing my life, slipping away, grasping onto nothing but our sweet memories.
The nurse nodding her head "no."
My knees drop to the ground.
All I hear is my heart pound;
You holding me in your arms that night, keeping me warm.
