From the point of view of those left behind.
Did you think it through, could you taste the steel?
Let’s turn back time, and make a deal
What do you say, kiss that vein
Don’t show me your blood, tell me your pain
Drop that razor, put down that gun
Give me time to pick-up what’s undone
Your scars are the past, let’s rebuild your future
Stop your bleeding heart, pass me the sutures
The clocks moving backwards, I can’t slow its speed
You’re unraveling before me, STOP! I’ll drop to my knees and plead
Dear God, take her soul, she knows not what she’s done
I wanted to save her, now that’s up to your Son
Your tears will pump my blood, your pain will beat my heart
You will never be forgotten, only physically apart
