Existential blossoming through illusion
Mushroom Tea

Remember when you came to tea
I sketched a chair for you.
We sat and drank from that porcelain pot
And laughter filled the air.

I sketched a chair for you
Straight-backed and wooden red
And laughter filled the air
Lost between warm cups of contemplation.

Straight-backed and wooden red
Sometimes in blue or purple
Lost between warm cups of contemplation
We ignored life and all our cares.

Sometimes in blue or purple
We fancied the thrones of illusion,
We ignored life and all our cares
Careless creativity moved through thickened air.

We fancied the thrones of illusion
And elevated our minds to sights of grandour.
Careless creativity moved through thickened air
The mushrooms they were bitter.

And elevated our minds to sights of grandour,
We soon were painting every chair.
The mushrooms they were bitter
We seeped them in our private ware.

We soon were painting every chair.
We sat together and drank from that porcelain pot.
We seeped them in our private ware.
Remember when you came to tea.
