Lizzy's story - from first kiss, to name change, to flight for her life.
Dear Agent:

PAINT ME BLACK AND BLUE is inspired by a true story. It traces the evolution of Lizzy Anne Walsh's life as an artist and a woman from her first kiss to when she must change her name to prevent her husband from finding and killing her. Sleeping with the Enemy meets John Howard Sanden's Portraits from Life in 29 Steps.

From the time Lizzy ran away from her Jehovah's Witnesses parents, she surfed from one dysfunctional, abusive marriage to another. She moved from her hometown in West Virginia, to Florida, and then to Tennessee, and in the process, had four beautiful children. All she had ever wanted was to love, to be loved, and to paint.

After years of trying, she had finally managed to catch the angelic beauty of her daughter's face. She painted portraits of the governor's children and had commissions in several states. With her children grown and out of the house, she had more time to delve into her magic place, the place where her paintbrush moved by itself and knew exactly what colors to use and how to caress the canvas. But, when her latest husband took a life insurance policy out on her, she knew she had to run.

With a new name and her work in a local gallery, life was becoming normal again – and then he found her.

PAINT ME BLACK AND BLUE is an 81,000 word suspenseful women's fiction and is available.

"Elthia," a short story, appeared in the May / June 2013 edition of Separate Words.  My short story, “First Stars,” was published in November 2012 as part of the Writers Dot Com Anthology. I am part of an online writing community and a writer’s critique group.

As soon as PAINT ME BLACK AND BLUE is accepted for publication, I will create a website to promote it. I organize a tour group in Paris with members from all over the world, and I have many contacts in the United States, so I know that my audience will grow quickly.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
