My first attempt at writing a poem using iambic pentameter
If I can do what you want me to do
My days will pass like no one here will know
But If I can’t I will not make the grade
And I will live within an old mindset

I was not in that race to make you proud
My feet did not go on because of you
I was lead on by my own drum beating
And you are mad at me for things like this.
