A unique experience while stargazing.
The moon shone bright through the frail glass sky,
The road was dark and the air was cold,
Fine enough to quench the furnaces of my mind,
Bowed and broken and lost and baffled,

“Look out there”,
She pointed at the diamonds out in the coal,
The majesty of the night sky,
Shone in the two perfect eyes of hers,
The wells of her soul reflecting serenely and illuminating,
My mind, my mind’s in darkness I thought,

The desert, the stream, the light, I recalled in heat,
Despite shivering in the unforgiving wild,
Clouds of doubt hung over my sanity,
As she pointed out another beauty of the infinite shapes above,

“Aren’t they beautiful?”
She smiled like the tender sunshine on a cold winter morning,
Like a many thousand candles sailing in a dark serene lake,
The stars shone in the dark and cold,
Like the tranquil yet lustrous moon, she shone,
Lively radiating joy and peace all around,

A deep breath I took,
Sinking within myself like a dream,
Inspecting the antithesis within our minds,
The turbulence in my mind growing as I looked at her,

“I know what that is called”
She pointed out with her fingers soft as silk,
Like an angel from the mysterious world above,
She stood playing with my fragile mind,
Restless I stood, a victim of the waves of my inner turbulence,
Gracefully she stood, a champion for all those elements which represented joy and peace,

Chaos, a storm of silence raged in my mind,
A contrast to the tranquility of beauty over me,
The sparkling stars descended in the sublime smile,
The light of the moon, bound in the two gemstones of eyes,

“This is just so beautiful”
She said embracing the light and all that came with it,
As I shunned away the same, hiding within the corners of my mind in dark
agony,
And then in that moment met our eyes, for a moment it was,
A gateway into the deepest corners of her mind,
Into worlds so very different yet so very graceful from mine,

The fire died, fell before enormity of her grace and majesty,
Translucent mind wavering like a dead leaf in a wind storm,
The images were melting into my soul, the pictures worth a thousand words,
Into the ocean of peace and serenity I sank, fading into the translucence around.
