Poem about an teenager
You think because I’m a teenager
I will ruin my life
You say I won’t finish school
Or enjoy life
That I need to get a life

But do you see
I’m different
I want to finish school
And get an career
I want an job

Yes, I have an boyfriend
But that doesn’t mean life is over
Yes we talk about Marriage
But it’s because we see it happening in the future
Yes we talk about having kids
But at this time it’s to prepare for future
We want to be sure

I don’t go out to parties
I babysit on weekends instead.
I try my best even when
My best isn’t good enough.
I may do stuff you don’t agree with
But I bet I have an reason for it

I know you might not agree with my life
But so far it’s the life I want
With the guy I love,
Trying to make our future the best,
While also living some
Which may create mistakes
But trust me I valve your opinion
When you understand how I feel.

I know right now isn’t the right time for a kid
That doesn’t mean if an accident happened
That I wouldn’t be happy becoming an parent
The child would be loved the same
And I’m sure both parents would be there

Give me a break and I might make you proud
I know no matter what happens in my life
I will be proud
Because I try my best
TO be the person I am
