This is about a man with a heroin addiction and how he threw his life away.
We are they
The ones you were born with
The ones that helped you crawl to that cookie
We are the ones that let you lay

We are they
The ones throwing the winning strikeouts
The ones jumping up while tightly gripping that trophy
We are the ones that help you succeed.

We are they
The ones you defend with
The ones that blockade, protecting our neighbors
We are the ones that keep you safe

We are they
The ones you get around with
The ones that grasp the imprisoning chair wheels
We are the ones that wave goodbye to your life.

We are they
The ones into which you inject such poisons
The ones that shake hands with the butt of the barrel
We are the ones that pull that trigger.

We are they
The ones that lay still
The ones that stay pale and beatless six feet beneath the earth
You are the one who betrayed us.
