DEFENDING A HERO
By: Alexander James Alea

Defending a hero is difficult
A hero protects the weak
A hero sets an example
Just like my baby brother

Cancer didn't stop my brother
It just slowed him down
I felt rage when he was mocked
Kids shouldn't mock cancer

I was his brother, his oldest
I refused to let them do this
With help from another brother
We turned into the mafia

We watched for signs of trouble
When we saw a bully we struck
My brother Jacob warned them
If they didn't stop, I stepped in

We pulled bullies away from view
And beat them with one on two
