An assault on the senses
Revolting odors
Sparkling colored lights
Herds of alien strangers
Pushing past as if
One were invisible
Crack addicts begging for change
Drunken tourists
Slot machines singing
Their siren song
To anybody willing to listen
And drop a few dollars
Into the casino’s pockets
This is Las Vegas
Downtown
On a windy spring evening
Saturday
