This is, again, how I feel sometimes.
Voices:
Whispers in my ear
That overtake my night.
Laughter wickedly bellows
As shadows run about my room;
Please say I'm hallucinating.
My hand, sweaty, are clenched.
My hear, irregular, is beating.
My eyes, still, are closing.
My spirit, inside, is splitting.
I feel as if I'm on a see-saw,
Like my brain is on a tilt.
Sure, I may walk straight in-line
But my thoughts run their crooked ways.
My thoughts terrorize the world around me.
(I tend to watch it fall and surrender.)
The sick and disturbed prevail
(I say this including me.)
And killers walk the streets.
Weapons assisting in murders
Quickly fall around around my feet.
Bending down I choose
The one that's made for me.
Whispers in my ear
That overtake my night:
Voices, yelling, screaming;
Shh. They stopped....
The world prevails.
