Humorous Poetry Entry
Honour
15 lines

There once was a lord in a castle tall,
With a hundred men and a code for them all:
‘Chivalry, fairness,
Honour and squareness,
That’s how we defend this wall.’

Then came a young man with a sword,
And he said to the men and their lord:
‘You must fight me alone,
With naught but a bone,
For I am young and I want your hoard.’

One by one they died for their code,
Till the lord took took in likewise mode,
Many cuts and a slash,
And fair death in a flash,
Then the young man in the castle abode.
