As we polute our planet this is what you could call the ligher side of self distruction.
If there are three sides to a triangle
and four sides to a square
and they are not located in a vacuum
but the dirty city air.
How many iron lungs would be needed
to help us as we breathe?
Please just give me an answer
and hurry before I sneeze.
Because I sense there is no logic
and on this point I must despair
for if we poison the air we need to live
What will we do when it's not there?
Will we set up breathing stations
where we can catch a breath?
Or buy portable respirators we can carry
to save us all from death?
It will become a whole new capitalistic venture
Madison Avenue will do fine.
Promoting this new contraption
for sale in each five and dime.
But to manufacture all the units
what will it take to meet demand?
Will it force the hand of pundits
To finally rise and take a stand?
For the gentlemen of Industry will
build new smokestacks in the sky.
But what will become of you and me
who don't really want to die?
Is there not a leader
who will lead us not astray?
Who can see our blighted future
if we continue on this way!!!
Or is power and money so unyielding
To those who cry out "NO".
Will they sacrifice our future
while raking in the dough?
We can all go back to the country
or go back to the farm
But, in truth, is there any place safe
that will keep us all from harm
If there are five sides to a pentagram
and six sides to a hex
what will be the shape of things to come?
Just ask our friend, T-Rex.
