How some rejection hurts.
    "I love you!"

His face twisted as if he ate a vomit flavoured jelly bean. He flicked his glasses back to the bridge of his nose, he stared impatiently at the confessor, "I don't feel the same and never will." He turned and ditched her standing in the middle of the hauntingly empty hall. He heard the soft wails coming out of her mouth, but he didn't hesitate.

A little while later, the boy tapped the rims of his glasses. His eyes sealed up close, getting into the zone of the hard rock music that was destroying his ear.

He felt a rush of taps on his shoulder. Staying silent and ignoring whoever it was seemed like a very good idea, but after seventeen more taps, he tugged his ear buds out. Spinning around swiftly and facing the annoyance.

"What!?" he seethed. His eyes were like loaded guns, ready to fire.

A freckled covered ginger stood just far enough from him. His hands waved frantically as if motioning him to cease fire.

"Cole? What the hell are you doing here?" he asked, pushing his neat black hair back.

"I heard what happened with that girl from our Math class."

The noriet rolled his brown orbs, "what of it?" he asked. His voice dripped with sarcastic boredom.

"You were pretty rude Antoni. Couldn't you have rejected her nicely?"

He failed to stop and think. Quickly uttering a simple "no" with brute strength.

"What if a guy confessed to you?" Cole asked. His brows knitted downwards. A slightly twitching eye painfully stared at him. Cole's hands turned bleach white from squeezing them into fists.

Antoni pressed his fore finger to his chin. "Then I'll nicely reject him by saying that if he believes he can get a chance with me, he can just eat a pile of horse crap because there will be NO way I'll turn gay for anyone. And if that guy ever comes close to me, I will spit in his face and tell him to get the hell out. I will even get him expelled from this school."

Cole, mouth open and teary eyes, lowered his head. Scratching the top of his thumb. "Oh...t-that's pretty harsh...can't you just reject people nicely?" his voice broke at the second last word.

Antoni strangely stared at the shortie. Cocking his head to the side. "What the hell is wrong with you?" he asked.

Cole snapped his head upwards, giving him a reassuring smile. "Nothing...really." He lowered himself to the table just behind Antoni. Quietly taking out his books in order to be ready for class.

'Oh well...this sucks...' Cole thought, blinking. His eyes did not wander off of Antoni. His vision quickly died on him as he felt warm liquid trail down his face.
