a poem about love.
Take my hand and run

with me to the top of

the hill where you first

took me when you brought

me here.

Let's take a blanket and

sit beside each other as

the sun's glow casts

itself across the sky as

it hides behind the trees.

Let's stand and overlook

the people that go on about

their routines, unaware of us

playing God and narrating

their lives.

Take my hand and lay me

down on this cloth, I'll run

my hands over the soft

cotton and turn on my side

to face you.

Let's get lost in each other's

green eyes as we wait for the

stars to come out. We won't

say a word.

Let's forget about the world

around us. We'll pretend that

it's our little world we're in.

Take my hand and fly me

to the moon so that I can

touch the stars that surround

it.

Sing to me as we sit next

to each other on the tiny

sliver of a moon. "Little

lady on the moon, close

your eyes."

Let me learn to fly with

you by my side. Don't

be afriad, open your eyes.

Come away with me.

"Love only knows."

Take my hand and guide

me back home. Back to

the bed where you and I

lay entangled in each other.

Let's lay here, in the silence,

and just be.
