Entry for The Talent Pond, Round Forty Seven
I was once a sleeper's timekeeper
With a shiny, crystal face
Rock, I was sturdy
To, I was still
Fro, my ticking still paced

I was once the linear figure
With my steady, ticking drone
Bump, I was toppled
Splash, I was wet
'Ahoy!' My time was flown

Bright light
Strobe light
Reflected on my glass dome

Bright light
Blinking light
Crash, my tocking still paced

I was once a sailor's timekeeper
With my steady, ticking drone
Whirr, I am rusted
Chime, I am still
Silence, my submarine home

I am now the sleeper's timekeeper
With my gradually fading brass
Silence, we are sleeping in
Silence, we are waking in
Silence.
