A small tribute to friendship and the hope it brings to our lives.
Your dreams may crash,
Yet, I too feel the burn.
Grief, I shall proudly sash.
For this time, it's my turn.

Once I too sat alone.
Ne'er forget the day.
A light beacon, you shone.
I knew, I'd be okay.

I'm but a vessel for your tears,
So not a drop will spill.
In me, you may cast your fears,
Forever now, forever till.

Any tear, we will sew.
A broken heart, we may mend.
Till you're good as new,
To the wounds we may tend.

Why this irksome task?
Seemingly, without an end.
Why carry ail, you ask?
Because I call myself, your friend.
