Ginger is forced into a new mission with her worst enemy.
I had been captured by a gray level demon and despite my strengths and abilities we both knew he had me. I was only thirteen years of age. I had barely completed my training at the Academy (though I've been doing missions for much longer). I was also the first half blood in two thousand years. It would all be for naught if I gave up and let him harvest my soul. I had once heard that just a single piece (about a human ounce) of my soul was worth ... well it was very expensive.
"I will fight to the death." I hissed, trying to ascertain any weak points in my struggles.
":Be as that may, dear, you won't be able to defeat me." He might be correct. I was fighting that of an equal. I had been created by a gray demon (Long since banished from our world) and had yet to actually battle them, they were that rare.
"Would you two like to talk each other to death? If so, by all means. I had to cancel a date to be here." I knew that voice and I decided that it would be more to my interest to let David harvest my soul rather than be rescued.
"Take my soul. I've no need for it in this world." I muttered quickly.
"Oh, you're being ridiculous. You'd think I was Lucifer himself. Release the girl, demon, or meet permanent banishment." My hero stepped out of the shadows. For all we knew he could have been hiding in the closet. For he was practically Lucifer himself. Roger Tanner is a graduated senior (as I'll be in two years time) and at nineteen, he thinks he's King of the world. He's hit on every girl but he rather fancies himself in my underwear. He's tried multiple times to get close and touch me.

David released me and rolled onto his back, next to me.
"You're sword, Banks." Roger snarled, and glared at me. I jumped to my feet and drew my weapon. I placed it over David' heart as Roger pointed his at the demon's neck.
"My dear children! Oh if only you knew!" Then David changed. In the place of this six foot fat man was a leaner, taller, red skinned man with a triangular face and a black goatee.
"Lucifer." I breathed and drew back my sword.
"Ginger Banks. My half-chidl! I thank thee for the respect." He turned his black, soulless eyes on Roger. Roger took one look at me, cowering against the stairs and staring at the devil, and slashed his sword along the devil's bare chest. I gasped and wrapped my arms around Roger's thick chest. I yanked him back and we both nearly tumbled down the steps.
