Prompt: When the wife’s away (husband) 230 words
I love my husband very much, I love him more then I could say, more than words could express. When he’s away it’s like the time stops for me; the only thing I could do is wait for him to return. He is my life, my reason for living. Without him the world is bleak and grey. There are no colors to please the eye, no smells to entice the nose, no tastes to tantalize the mouth, no feelings to make goose bumps dance across the skin, no sounds to whisper seductively to the ears. Without him there is nothing, he is the beginning and the end. To me he is the sound, the feel, the site, the smell and the taste. I can barely remember the time before my husband, my lover, my rock, my God. To me he is the universe in its entirety, the world and the either beyond. He is my all.
How he does it you say? Quite simple. When the husband’s away his wife is locked up into a box. With no light and no sound and nothing to distract her from her husband. She did promise to forsake all others, didn’t she? But who should blame him for having his own ounce of prevention, so he wouldn’t need to have a pound of cure. A lead one.
