Just a little poem I scribbled when thinking about a friend of mine from days gone by.
Tossed in storm clouds all around,
The gentle touch of a lover's caress,
The ache of a love so profound,
A feeling of longing knows no rest.

A lover's eyes in a stranger's face,
The temptation of a love sorely missed,
The need to be held in the human race,
A stolen touch, a look, a passionate kiss.

His arms around me locked so strong,
The trace of our sorrow lingers on,
Will I ever truly feel as if I belong,
Or am I meant to stand alone?
