A look through my eyes.
Take my shoes and put them on
Look! Now you're short & blonde
Now you like to socialize,
& game day gives you butterflies.
On occasion you like to run,
& you always laugh at puns.
When it's night you try and sleep,
but your brain seems to keep,
you up until you listen to it,
until you cool the spark it lit.
Now you spill words on the page,
so your mind is no longer caged.
Now you wake to morning light,
and realize it's an endless fight,
because the words you erased,
we're quickly and easily replaced.
So take my shoes and shake them off,
and look me in the eyes.
Now you tell me,
what it is that you see.
