Remember those days
Under the moon’s sway
Wild ecstasy, sheer desire
A few magical words
Sets you on fire

Innocence against cynicism
Always in combat
The latter kept at bay
Hope against hope
Waiting for that day

Neither wisdom nor age
Ends that wait
Time and time again
We forget yesterday
And pray, for sunshine again
