Two directions
One path
Two separate beings
Of Questionable mass
Ready to smash
Further increasing in speed
Melting the tires off the wheels
Consuming more fuel
Than could ever be sustainable
Far past any redline
Way beyond any visual cue
Engines screaming of their doom
Such a wasteful endeavor of living
Is what we have always been
Obliteration through
Course interception
The damage will be great
The impact will be catastrophic
There will be nothing left
Like dust on the wind
Who we are will be scattered away
Identifiable we will no longer be
Those who love us will be sad
Those who hate us will applaud
The path we were set upon is straight
Never curving in any way
No deviation regardless of how hard we tried
A direct impact has always been our fate
On the day when you and I collide
We will become one within nothing
A metaphysical representation of life
Far beyond certain death
Only then will we be truly free
Only then will our pieces become infused
The path we are on is the same
The direction remains unchanged
Time dictates when the impact will be
Speed shortens the space between
Down the clock counts
Faster than ever before
Time plus distance equals the end
We both are acutely aware that
More speed will lessen the pain
We are both certain that what fuels us
Has been all but consumed
On the day when you and I collide
The impact will be a catalyst of change
What will be left will resemble nothing
Of you and I and our former case…
