Writings of an South African poet
Deepest Heart

From the passion of my heart
Mirrored by deepest kind regard
Sound the chords of blind despair
On deeds so blunt declare
Mistakes so glibly made
Time blanketed by decade
Does not easily succeed
The need to forget the deed
So dark the ages seem
In facing all the dream
How far do we have to go
To pretend and keep up the show?
The deepest darkest thought
Oh! The merest...to be caught!
The shame and placing of the blame
Soon to be devoured by flame.
Just the same as life expires
Does thoughts and fears retires
As calm and rest takes hold
Accepting He is in control
Exactly as it was being told.
