the family that never existed.
A strong foundation
Is all we ever had
We never put another thing on top of it
On an island
In the sea
Our creation stands alone
As waters waves shake the mortar from the stone
This foundation
With no bricks laid upon the floor
Will fall to dust one day

Where will you go when it's gone
I know I won't be here and no I won't cry too long
I've sat and watched it dwindle
As years go by
So really I have cried
All that I'm gonna cry
This place is where once stood
A promise for tommorrow
But out of fear was left to rot
And the sea claimed it as her own
Lost to history
And this won't fit on my tombstone
