When an unhealthy reationship/pattern becomes something you need to hold onto at all costs
Dangerous Addiction

Pain, fear, lust, and love
Flow deep through my veins
My eyes are clouded by my past
But my heart still feels the pain.

The pain of wanting something more then ever before,
Thinking about it constantly whether awake or unconscious
Lingering just under your skin so you feel it ever present
Consoling you when you are down and lifting you higher when your not.

Out of your control, leading you deeper than ever before
You can’t tell it no, you just want it even more
It binds you to the things you long for deepest
Desires, that you never thought you would feel so strongly

For me,
It’s the taste of his lips
Sweet as honeysuckles fresh at the beginning of the summer.
The touch of his skin,
Gently as rose petals lightly brushing my arm in the breeze of spring
The mere presence of his company,
Entrancing like the warm breeze of the coming of autumn.
The chills he sends down my spine when he holds me,
Like the icy snow of winter.

The longing for him,
When he is no longer around, feeling the pain of missing him is better than nothing at all.
The lust for him,
When he is just feet from me in a crowd, not being able to touch with others around.
The love we share,
Although most others can’t see, we know we love each other even though it is invisible.
The pain he leaves me with,
When he does things, things that hurt and make me think he no longer loves me.

Whether it is a good feeling or bad,
I must be near him.
If not my world slowly begins to fall apart.
My life with him is special at the least.

I need him in my life even if it hurts,
I’m addicted to his presence here,
It has become my breathing air,
Without it I am sure I will waste away.

I try to escape my drug and lock him out,
But it is I who always comes running back,
Relapsing into his arms,
Just to hear him whispering three words “I love you”
