This poem is about a young man who is in love, after previously having had his heart broke
I'm lonely, cold and often ignored,
So my deepest thoughts are secretly stored.
My sanity evermore is continuously tearing,
Only she knows, of these burdens I'm bearing,
My life is more frayed than at first it would seem,
No solace to be found except in a dream...
Of me and her together.

Life has surprises, this I know,
more often than not, opportunities to grow,
but here I'm finding feelings arising,
feelings I'm finding completely surprising,
I'm beginning to think of you and I,
And how, together, you'd never cry,
and through the haze I notice a change,
a shape becomes clear, a shape so strange...
its the shape of a new sun rising.

From a long dead heart,
arises a beating,
A life torn apart,
new pieces are meeting.

Hurriedly blood rushes under the skin,
cheeks happily flushing, at the situation I'm in,
for as long as I can remember my heart has been hollow,
but now in her company, Its harder to swallow...
Her eyes meet mine and they start searching.

I wonder at her find,
and how she feels about me,
Thoughts fly through my mind,
but I know I can't see (into hers).

Enthralled by her personality, her charm, and her wit,
my heart I would give her, if she would permit.
The beating in my chest continuously enduring,
for each second with her she becomes more alluring,
I begin to wonder after every answer I try,
"If I don't find the right one maybe I'll die".
The answer is hidden, secret and covered,
But I won't stop because its perfection I've discovered.

As I lie down and begin to prepare myself for bed,
I begin to notice an eagerness entirely unfed,
I don't feed it because I know why its growing,
Like a river it is deep and stealthily flowing,
I hate to sound dumb and as odd as it seems,
I know she's there waiting, the girl of my dreams,
Our hands clasped tightly together, falling asleep,
If only she'd let me her heart I would keep.
