A flight of fancy...
Out in the Universe, beyond

time, where years are unknown

quantities that have no meaning...

dwell the Starbenders in frozen



gaseous splendor that would blind

the mortal eye of man, crush him

into icy slush, without form or thought.

To look upon them would be death.



Alpha and Omega, they exude life,

a petri dish necessary for stars, suns,

moons and mighty planets unborn.

Starbenders blow the breath of being



into primordial possibilities.

Cells and atoms, nucleotides that

boil into Presidents and rock stars,

into that drug dealer down the block.



Everyone’s genetics from the same

bucket, stirred by Creator and tossed

upon whatever canvas catches the

sludge, equality from the beginning...
