Red and Blue

Red States, Blue States, Free States, Who's State?
My state, your state, rich states, poor states.
This one voted for prop 8
But this one is a liberal state
Wow, there is so much debate
About half are red, the rest are blue
All are old but some laws are new
Some like to vote, some not as much
Some laws like to keep that such
Why are some so out of touch?
I do not know, it's a crutch
From west to east
and east to west
all states think they are the best
Red guys want to keep their guns
Blue guys say that's no fun
Oh boy, old boys, oh man oh man
What if only the honest ran?
Some say six lies, some say more
Was it this bad before?
Where our country's going I cannot say
Sometimes I want to run away
