When everything you do is wrong in the eyes of others.
Building slowly
Deep inside my soul
Are the feelings I fear
Will tear apart my world

I can tighten my grip
Act and pretend
But it won't take away
The growing pain

If I let go, share what I feel
Someone would be burnt
Another tear would be shed -
That's not my intention

Stationary I will forever be
Until they can see
Or hear, or feel
What remains unsaid

My heart beats in time
and my voice works in rhythm
But the lyrics of song
Are always wrong
