All in a days work

John C McDonald was sitting comfortably at his table in one of the

most exclusive night clubs in Chicago, The Blue Flamingo. Bing

Crosby was playing tonight. But John was here on business he was a

detective for the Chicago police. He was keeping tabs on Chicago's

number one gun smuggler, Joey the Hammer. A waiter walked over

to Joey's table and whispered in his ear. Joey got up from his table

and started for the door. John got up and took the back door to the

side alley and saw Joey get in his black Cadillac.

John got out his radio and called his partner Harry. "Harry meet me

on the roof of the Blue Flamingo in two minutes," John commanded.

Then John climbed the fire escape up to the roof and right on time

Harry showed up.

" John get in Copper 2 says Joey is heading down Adams

street," yelled Harry over the Eb-1's rotor blades. John took over

the chopper and headed over to Adams street. Where they met

Copper 2 and followed Joey to the warehouse district.

" Copper 2 this is Copper 1 Joey's Cadillac has stopped at

warehouse 15," John said.

" Roger Copper 1 we'll radio dispatch for back up," David Copper

2's pilot responded.

" Copper 2 we are going to land for a closer look," John informed

them as he landed.

They snuck up to an open window and listened. " Here you are Mr.

Hammer the weapons you ordered; 22 B.A.R. and 30 fifty caliber

machine guns," someone said to Joey.

" We can't wait for back up John I'm moving in now!!!!," Harry said

as jumped inside the building.

" Freeze police!!!," he yelled.

Gun fire erupted and Harry jumped for cover. John pulled out his

pistol and started to fire. It was a fierce gun fight but in five minutes

back up arrived and arrested Joey and his men.

" Good job boys you finally caught the rat," the Chief

congratulated them.

" All in a days work, sir," John said.

The End.
