A lonely person faces their loneliness in the night.
The only time I see you
is in my dreams
but they desert me
like everything else
in the darkness.

You said that
we'd always be together
but then you left me
alone and empty
unable to risk again

I can't ask why
and my tears
have long since
disappeared
I'm broken

Beyond my reach
but not my heart
I'm crushed
lonely
alone in the dark
