Feelings during attraction and the end of attraction.
She stands here now, a smile playing on her lips,
Her breath so deep, eyes hinting towards a kiss.
Golden hair flowing down, princess or queen with golden crown,
Long ago my heart beat would quicken, but looking now, I almost sicken.

How long has it been since you were in my arms?
How long has it been since I wooed you with charms?
I forget, for reasons we both know,
I regret, for now I turn cold as snow.

So sweet, so young, so simple and dumb,
I sometimes wonder what could have become?
But then I remember, what little things went wrong,
And so now I am no longer willing to just play along.

With beauty and grace, you raised the bar,
Yet today that all sits so far from par.
I know whats inside, though once I craved,
Thank god you messed up, because I'm the one saved.

We kissed and we touched, and promised these things,
We watched the sunrise and the warmth it brings.
Together forever in spirit and soul,
But physically far, no tether to hold.

I'd dream of your face, your smile and your touch,
Awake all alone with nothing as such.
Relishing the moments together at last,
Until the moment they left and became part of the past.

Like binary stars we so drift apart,
But magnetically pulled together restart,
Time after time, I saw this come true,
Time after time I always came to you.

Neither deny the attraction we share,
But today I now formally no longer care,
I see you, and feel you, your presence, the past,
But now I can walk away, and forget you at last.
