A poem about death.
For the song that was sung
There are no hopes – no dreams
It seems
The voice has been silenced
None remember what it means
Silence sings

For the tale that was told
The lips unmoving – book closed
Volume shelved
The dénouement has ended
A climax that has been concluded
Plot delved

For the life that was lived
There is no more breath or beat
Dissipated heat
The Earth has claimed its child
The sun blotted forever by concrete
Breathless sleep
