A girl has the power of a star within her.
The beginning of a star, something a lot of people think starts out in the universe. They are completely wrong. A star starts out within a girl. I am that girl. At the time, I had no clue as to what I was, but the stars would always draw me in, hence my name, Galexy. Foster care took in me and my half sister, Amanda after the tragic death of my parents. I never really felt grief for them, considering, I can barley remember them. If what Amanda said was true, my mother wasn't worth remembering. Amanda had told me that they hated what I was. A star. They were afraid of my powers, is what I would always tell myself. As a star, I could do things, that seem impossible. For starters, I can fly. I'm not sure where this ability came from, but I ended up with a pair of thirteen foot wings on my back. Thank the lords they are retractable. Amanda is the only one who knows about my wings and being a star. So, as you might be thinking, being a star is amazing, and you would love to be one, but, as everything in life there is a downside. I have the power of a star inside me, which is a magnet to ambitious people, and those people just happen to live in the underworld, who just happen to have monsters called Moonwhispers who just happen to love to kidnap and torture people, and who just happen to be after me.
Below a dark, storm brewing sky in the middle of the night, I run for my life from the Moonwhispers. My feet pound the ground, slower than my heart. The buildings on either side of me stay dark as I let out a frantic scream. I stop for a split second and analyze my options. I know I have to take off. I make a quick decision and turn down a dark ally. I jump to a metal trashcan with a bang and snap out my wings, but I'm too slow. An icy hand grips my foot. Frantic, I try to use my mental energy to shake them off, but it isn't working, I am too terrified. I kick and kick but it's no use. I fold in my wings and jump down on them. I land on one of their noses. The unpleasant teeth grinding crunch of their nose always haunts me. Then they grab me and throw me to the ground, and pain blooms in my head. I jolt awake with a start. It was the nightmare again. I am freezing from my nightmare as I get up to check my phone. 2:06, Great, just great. I  am so not getting any sleep after that nightmare. I look outside to see a glowing pair of red eyes glaring at me. My thoughts become a frenzy of panic as I see the eyes. I focus on my mental energy to push him in the way of a reckless drunk driver. Shaken, I return to my bed and attempt to get some sleep.
After about two hours of restless sleep I go down stairs and find Amanda down there just sneaking back through the window after sneaking out with her friends. " Hey Galexy. I didn't think you would be awake. Oh crap I woke oyu up didn't I? Who else is awake? Did I wake Elenor up? Did I-" i cut her off. " No you didn't wake me up it was my usal nightmare and you and me are the only ones awake you are all good" i said reassuring her. By the way Elenor is the woman who runs this place and she is a dark angel and if she knew about me well i would of be dead weeks ago. There is about eight other girls and we are getting ready to get out of this place an dgo to another foster home and towmorow is our last stunt. we are going to do some stuff at school like stink bombs and walls well invisable ones and other stuff we just have to get expelled. I have to get out of here fast because the moonwispers have figured out where I am. "oh thank god" Amanda said with releif. " we should get to bed though" I told her. " ok then. Good night Galexy" and with that we went to bed.
