There are many people that hurt others, then later realise that they've hurt themselves.
Two roads that had never intersected,

Joined together their path unexpected.

Though the road’s end never comes to mind,

The bumps are visible within the white lines.

The time is bent, as the passion takes offense,

But it hurts to think or even pretend –

That it’s not okay to want more,

Then to realise you’re the one that once closed that door.

Once being the sea that said goodbye to the shore,

But at the back of your mind, you couldn’t resist its allure.

So the sea always returns because part of it is longing,

For the sand to comfort its heat that is sobbing.

It is more complicated that meets the eye,

And suddenly, the sea is the one afraid of goodbye.

So even if I need not know where your road leads you to go,

Just be here with me for as long as time would cease to know.
