President Jerry Wright announces, “This year Billington Industries are proud to present the Most Creative Thinker Award with scholarship to,” He opens the envelope. “Charity Cole for the Cabin Buzzer.” Everyone stands with applause.

Walking up the steps to receive my plaque, I begin to smile. Yes, I happy that I had won it, but I remember how the idea had come to me. It was my daughter's birthday. I was in a hurry to get home to create the best party that a six year old could have. I went to the supermarket. I pushed all the food into the back seat. The next stop was the party supply store. Then the toy store. Both were in the same mall. I grab the items and practically run to the car.

I had one thirty minutes to get every thing going at home before the children begin to arrive. My cell rings. There was a worried little girl on the line. I close the trunk assuring her that I was on the way home with the party necessities. I hit the gas peddle. The lights were all green, no accidents, or other obstructions, and I made up the bumpy country road to the house with about ten minutes to spare.

I ran into the house carrying the food from the backseat. Tiny Tina greeted me at the front door. “Do you need help?”

After going to the car to retrieve the party items, Tina comes back in tears. I had lost all the supplies from off the top of the car. I had left them there when I answered my cell. Thank God that all the bags had fallen less than a mile away, and the party went well.

The next day, I went to work. I covered the roof of my car with those little cheap door bells. All the wires were run to my speaker system. I never forgot one thing on the cabin of my car again.

I had no idea that my job would buy the idea and patten it. Now the door bells were changed to the Cabin Buzzer. A thin transparent cover for the top of the car. The cover had censors about every two inches.

I smile as I am given the award. “ I would like to thank my daughter Tina for being my inspiration.”
