I wrote this about my ex from last year. He cheated on me the left me for him. Enjoy.
As I feel cold

as I feel tired,

the fire takes hold

and I'm the liar.



You broke me down

and drove me out

until I found

nothing but drought.



We are what we are

just flightless and still

and the ghosts of this town

still linger around.



I gave it all,

this I know is true.

From ash I crawl

as my soul saw only you.



The ghosts of us

scream through this town.

How did I trust

forever's abandoned crown?
