I was thinking on a time when I didn't know my self or what I wanted from life.
Little girl lost.
where are you going?
Going nowhere, full speed with that convincing smile on your face.
Sadness in your eyes, but theres's still a fire in you glowing.
I see your insecurities underneath the fancy, tight fit clothing.
Naive to lust disguised as love; love here, love gone with the wind blowing.
I hear your cries as you try to keep your tears from showing.
Tender heart that throbbed with passion, now feels heartache, pulse ever slowing.
Little boy lost.
where are you going?
Oh, you think you've got it all figured it out.
Out into the world to be a man, but not nearly finished growing.
Doing questionable things to be accepted, you think it's heart you're showing?
Fast money is evil persuasion. You're just a puppet. Not even knowing.
The weight of the world on your shoulders; that's some heavy towing.
Young lost souls,
Strong enough to pick up lost pride and move forward without shame.
She will run towards the big city, bright lights, endless riches and fame
He'll make a whole new life and create a whole new name.
Maybe find love and new friends. Where there is no judgment, no blame.
Maybe, maybe not. But I'll be here waiting, and will love you all the same.
Tale as old as time,
eager souls that don't know which path to take.
On your journey comes confusion, uncertain is your fate.
Chase of big dreams turned to nightmares, from which we wish we could awake.
Here, take my hand. I'm with you,
whatever decision you make.
Doesn't matter where we go! nothing to lose! nothing at stake!
We all have to live, to learn; and learn from our mistakes.
You used to daydream,
of future life, of finding love. Hoped to one day marry.
But things are different now young soul. Time has passed. You 're still alone and it's kinda scary.
Let me assist you. Give me that baggage you 're holding. It is now mine to carry.
We will leave the past behind us, with it, your skeletons I will bury.
Give me your burdens, your sadness, your pain for me to bare;
And in return I have some dreams, A bit of hope for us to share.
I can't promise what tommorrow brings. But, to you this i swear.
We can do this thing called life together, it doesn't matter where.
I promise to never hurt you, treat you kindly and with care.
And all I want is to look in the mirror and see you standing there.
Young soul.
This road you've traveled is outgrown.
No longer should you wonder. No longer should you roam.
I know it seems hard to start over, because this life is all you've known.
Life is full of surprises! Nothing is set in stone.
Mature is my body, but it's hollow, yes, just skin and bone.
Young soul you spread your wings to fly, now its time to fly back home.
