Upon the ledge
Stands a childhood friend
A stranger ever since
He and I were quite the fools
Never ones to live by any rules
Always doing what we wished
Regret was nothing that interested us
Consequences were sure to be avoided
Reality always slightly distorted
Both of our hands stained
Many of people turned victims
Lay and our unified wake
Both of us are bastards of fate
While everyone else appears to be a slave
Driven to us by the cruelest of God
Our end has appeared
Such appropriateness cannot be ignored
The rope quickly tightens
The truth takes an ominous shape
We are the same side of a coin
Two beings within one calamity
Standing here, upon the ledge
Ready to face what must come next
The glorious termination of our reign
The seamless culmination of our ways
We always knew that death
Dealt by our own hand was part of the plan
Such an unwavering plight cannot be escaped
We’ve done all that we can
We’ve hurt more than we should
Now we must pay a heaviest of price
Two darkness’s long since one
Under God’s blistering sun
Upon the ledge we stand
One step away from the end
The fall will be great
Easily in pain we will relate
Such a death is our only escape
From what we’ve done
And whom we have become…
