Cowgirl Attitude

Tight weave straw,
no girly color here--
attitude black.
Brim--sides curved up,
back and front bent down--
not for protection from
the elements, but to
keep wearer in
mysterious shadow.
No bling or conchos
encircling the crown.
Self-killed rattlesnake
wrapped tight--
mouth wide open
exposing fangs--
stay back!
Rattle curves down
back of brim--
beware!
Innocent straw
transformed.
